Those respnsible for this church building offered it as a temporary refuge in response to seeing a Houston TV station’s plea for housing for us as we had stayed our limit in the parks of Houston and had to move on. It was also from Hockley that David Berg flew out to Los Angeles and got Fred Jordan’s permission to use the TSC Ranch, which became the next stop after here.
